$6 shimmer, how I love you

Shimmer is always a must for LA Pretties getting ready for a night out, so we're up for trying out different ways to get that coveted sexy glimmer. This time I chose mark's Crystal Shimmer Luminous Loose Powder. Avon's line for the young, mark is more fun and playful, but still has the low Avon price tag (even though hiring Lauren Conrad as a spokesperson probably didn't come cheap). This shimmer powder only ran $6 which was a welcome relief since when I first used it I was disappointed.

I made a mess, a big one. It comes with a foam-tipped applicator which isn't the right tool to have when it comes to getting a light layer of shimmer. Maybe because mark is made for teens, they expect it to be gobbed on?

No bother, I just mix it with my mineral foundation, or brush a light layer over my eyeshadow. And there it is -- light, subtle shimmer. All is forgiven mark, you made my night.
