Back to Russia, with no love

I guess a big case of "oops" is in order. It wasn't too long ago that I was waiting for a table in front of Jack and Jill's on Beverly Dr. when I was randomly handed a huge heart-shaped lollipop on behalf of the new Kira Plastinina store opening next door. Then the Beverly Center elevators looked as if the magical-fairytale-princess dreams of a teen girl threw up all over the walls to let us know another branch was opening there as well - not a pleasant way to ride up 6 floors. What the hell is this store? And why is it suddenly everywhere?

Well in a flash it's all over as many if not all of the stores are closing. I'm not a business genius but I kind of saw this coming. A store on Beverly is one thing, then a store in Beverly Center, 3rd Street Promenade, Robertson...jeez, overreaching much?

There's only so much "brand ambassador" Audrina Partrige can do. As for Kira's next move? Well her stores are still reportedly turning a profit in her homeland. And there's always hope (fingers crossed!) for season two of Paris Hilton, My New BFF.
