Carolina Herrera doesn't know how to age gracefully

First the longstanding collaboration between Rene Zwelleger and Carolina Herrera nose-dived into WTF?-land, and now there's this annoying quote from the designer to the London Times:

Long hair after 40 is out in my book as it looks too messy and too young. Women need to learn how to age gracefully.

We Pretties passionately and with everything in our souls disagree with this terrible opinion! For a long time it's been a common topic of discussion here at the Pretty Headquarters about how every women who gets older insists on getting those bubble-head, short hair-dos. I mean, really, what better way to make yourself look older and, in fact, make it look like you've just given up than to get that same short, boring do?

When Meryl Streep came to the Oscars, she looked lovely, artsy, and very Pretty. (BTW, at the time she was nominated for playing angry, bitter, short-haired nightmare boss in The Devil Wears Prada.)
