Catherine Malandrino invites you to her home

I love Catherine Malandrino. I want her to be my best friend. I want to meet her for coffee and talk about the last book she read, her fave lipstick and get her advice about that fight I had with the BF.

But while our paths in life haven't crossed, I can still (kind of) visit her home when I go to Catherine Malandrino Maison on La Cienega. Or at least, that's the idea behind this 6,000 square foot space with a garden and two terraces. It also includes a library with a fireplace (pictured above) that carries Catherine's recently published workalong with other books that inspire her.

The Maison features two collections: the Malandrino designer collection and accessories (bags, shoes and jewelry) and the Catherine Malandrino contemporary line, along with collector pieces and re-editions of styles including her iconic Flag Dress.

The Maison is the result of a design collaboration between Malandrino and French architect Christope Pillet. Iconic pieces from the space include a dramatic "Summer Rain" chandelier with Murano hand-blown glass drops that's suspended by metal chains, a patchwork of citrus glass screen, and a glamorous oversized marble table - all can be made to order for purchase.

And as no home is complete without a kitchen, the Maison also includes a Cafe bringing the best selection of tasty European cuisine including salads, foie gras, caviar and sweet macaroons in nine different flavors. So have some appetizers, lounge on the couch, and make yourself at home.

Catherine Malandrino Maison; 651-653 N. La Cienega, Los Angeles.
