Elnett brings out my inner 60's French seductress

As promised I wanted to give the LA Pretty verdict on what the US beauty world is buzzing about: the arrival of L'Oreal Elnett hairspray on our shores. Available in Europe and adored by hairstylist for ages, this fashion show backstage staple was never available in U.S. stores until recently, and now only at my beloved Target. So on my very next trip I picked up the signature gold can (that's actually quite obnoxiously tall and thin, like all the fashion models this spray is used on) and ran home to try it out. And I was delightfully surprised. While an aerosol hairspray reminds me of my grandmother's Aqua Net and of our rapidly thinning ozone layer, I found that the former was of no concern (the verdict's still out on the ozone layer however).

While I wasn't going to have a bust-out-the-hot-rollers kind of night, I did want to see if I could get the biggest hair as possible for as long as possible. Perhaps inspired by Elnett's vintage can, my ultimate goal (whose isn't?) was 60's Brigitte Bardotte or Catherine Deneuve in her Belle de jour years.

I have to say it was in reach with Elnett. The amazing part of this spray is not just that it holds (because really, you can get that with ol' Aqua Net) but that it leaves your hair touchably soft. You can run your fingers through it, hell, you can even brush it out more, and that beautiful Elnett hair bounces right back to where it should be. You get transformed to a natural beauty with the sexiest hair you can possibly imagine. Who doesn't want that?

So if you're wanting to bump up your hotness, grab a can from Target and get some more hairstyle inspirations from here.

Dear God I need this. When I straighten out my natural curl-ball hair, it lays so flat. Most definitely on my must-have list!
