LaRocca sets the (gold) standard in skin care

So I've been diligently using LaRocca Skin Care products and here's the Pretty verdict as promised. As I described when I first introduced LaRocca, the company uses the healing properties of gold in each of its products. Colloidal gold promotes electron transfer with the metal ions on the skin to stimulate cell regeneration. The more your skin cells regenerate, the newer, younger, and Prettier your skin looks.
First up, the 24KGold Cleanser Exfoliant. While some exfoliating cleansers I've tried are harsh and rough, this truly is an extremely gentle exfoliant that leaves my skin smooth and clean, not scratched up and inflamed. The cleanser includes 24k gold to energize skin cells, while also including green tea for it's anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory powers, so that skin is left silky smooth and radiant. It also includes hydrating orange oil and soothing aloe extract. The orange oil gives it the most delicious, energizing scent that is helpful in the mornings when I struggle to get out of bed. Another plus is that it doesn't dry out my skin, so I often skip including a toner in my skin care routine when I use the LaRocca cleanser which I can't afford to do using other products.
The 24k Gold Moisture is wonderful as well: it's light, easily absorbs into my skin, and effectively moisturizes. It too contains LaRocca's cellular gold complex made with 24K gold so that your skin cells are encouraged to regenerate. It also includes the always lovely hyaluronic acid, an ingredient that binds up to 1,000 times its weight in moisture and something I always look for in a moisturizing product. 24k Gold Moisture's only flaw? It doesn't contain SPF, which is a big oversight to me as SPF is the ultimate anti-ager. So when I use this in the morning, I mix together the LaRocca moisturizer with my trusty Bioelements SPF 30 Year-Round Protector to get the protection I need.
And here's where we get to the pièce de résistance: C-Gold, LaRocca's prized anti-ager. This is a super light-weight gel that you put on after the moisturizer that contains 15% Vitamin C, along with, of course, the 24k gold complex. Because of the inclusion of Vitamin C, it not energizes and stimulates cell regeneration like the other products in LaRocca's line, it also repairs sun damage including wrinkles, age spots and freckles. I fell in love with C-Gold at first use. My skin looked fresh, healthy and was as smooth as glass.

After using the collection of products only once, my skin looked wonderful. And after using the products for a week or so, it looks fantastic. I keep telling my BF to touch my face see how impressively smooth and soft it is. I feel as if I'm one of those ladies who get a weekly facial, my skin looks that good. This stuff is completely worth its weight (you guessed it!) in gold.

Get it online or at Apothia at Fred Segal, 8118 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles.

Wow, gold as an anti-ager. and I thought fish oil was a weird ingredient.

I have more sensitive skin than most -- do you know if gold has shown to react at all with skin in a negative way? Just curious before I run a trial and then discover I'm allergic, or something (I wear gold jewelry but that isn't going into my pores).

Everything else about the product sounds great though. I can't say enough about Vitamin C -- Dr. Perricone uses it as the main ingredient in a lot of his products. I find his stuff works well for my particular skin type, and I'm always chasing that "glassy" feel (as you put it! I more describe it as feeling clean and shiny).
