Skin gets a silver service treatment from Cor

We've talked about the benefits of gold in skin care, and now Cor is opening us up to silver. As silver blocks bacteria's ability to transfer oxygen through its cell walls, according to Cor, it's fast emerging as one of the best natural anti-bacterial agents and all of Cor's products contain it. In addition, they rely on the porous nature of silica to draw of the active natural ingredients into its particles, penetrating deep into the dermis layer of the skin.

The Cor Silver Soap is the crux of this skin care line and is so good that it won Self's 2007 Healthy Beauty Awards for best cleanser for normal skin. On top of nano-silver with silica, it also contains a vegetarian source of glycerin derived from palm oil, plus pomegranate extract to reduce age signs and fight free radicals.

On top of cleansers, Cor also has a family of moisturizers including The Silver Eye Cream. The ingredient list in this cream is a pageant of hi-tech skin care superstars like Palmitoyl Pentapeptide which imitates the skin's natural rejuvenation process, and Acetyl Hexapeptide, an extreme amino peptide that tightens and firms skin. Add to this vitamins E and C, and the eye cream is well on its way to be a supreme anti-ager.

Get it online or at Apothia at Fred Segal, 8118 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles.
