ABC has finally done something smart and hired the wonderful Tim Gunn to host the official Oscar red carpet pre-show. Brilliant and wonderful decision!! (Though this so does not make up for canceling Pushing Daisies!)Who doesn't love Tim Gunn? He's so debonair, intelligent, and charming, plus he doesn't have the screeching egos of other award show red carpet hosts like Isaac Mizrahi - your boobs will be safe this time, Scarlett! I think it's safe to assume Tim will talk about the fashion and leave out the lame "tell me who inspired you?" crap questions that those entertainment hosts are supposed to ask. GMA's Robin Roberts will pull up the slack on that one.
My earlier post was probably a bit of an overreaction. Yes, some celeb presenters will sneak in through the back in lieu of walking the red carpet (though their publicists would be smart to convince them otherwise) but of course those who are nominated we can safely assume will show up and will walk the red carpet. Fingers crossed my girl crush will wear something awesome!
