The 80s are back, and not in a cute way for YSL's Spring 2009 makeup collection. Doesn't this pic look like it would be in one of those super old style books that are buried under tabloids in your grandmother's fave local hair salon?
The face collection includes highlighter Touche Eclat and a palette containing a bronzer and a couple blushes called Palette D'Artiste. As if that wasn't enough flowery, overly feminine, pastels for you, there's another palette full of them for the eyes. Ech.
I do love the mascara that comes in a beautiful color called Ever Steal Blue, and the liner that also comes in an Easy Blue shade.
For lips, they made their popular black gloss a softer, shade of Pure Coral, and mixed with with their spring shade of Silky Apricot, you get the nude glossy lip shade pictured above.
I'm sure some of these colors used a few at a time will be stunning, but used all together, wow, what a mess. Maybe I'm just a Winter Girl.
xx,
N
