Lots of Pretty Goths at the Nina Ricci show
Sure, the shoes at the Nina Ricci show were the talk of the town, but let's not forget that gorgeous makeup done by Chanel makeup's creative director Peter Philips. (If he has anything to do with that gorgeous logo palette, which of course he did, I love him forever.) Described by WWD as "an approachable Gothic look," the makeup was subtle, stunning, and something you could totally rock without looking like you're trying too hard.
The focus of the look is the eyes, and two different shades of Chanel's Ombre Essentielle shadow were used: Ebony in the inner corners and Magic Night to fill in. He then applied black pencil on the center of their bottom lids and smudged it in for that "I listen to the Smiths when I'm sad" kind of look. Lips were kept light with gloss and he used a not even released color for the cheeks called Fresque.
