After spreading the product onto my hand, the demonstrator told me to wait for a few moments for the Peel to take affect. Uh oh. The only history I've had with clear, cool jellies being put on my skin and being told to wait a few moments is when I'm receiving a chemical peel. So essentially I was dreading for the inevitable and awful burning to start and mentally preparing to ask the demonstrator for a wetnap, cooling lotion and to please get the hell out of my way so that I can go run to the bathroom and run my burning hand under cold water.
But the burning feeling never came. Instead, she told me the Peel needed to sit for about 30 seconds as she explained why, but I wasn't quite paying attention, again, waiting for the pain and then she slowly started to rub my hand, not too hard, just enough to cause a little friction. And soon enough, the clear jelly became little lumps of my dry skin that she rinsed off.
“Now feel the difference between your two hands. Amazing. Even before putting on lotion, my Omega Peel hand felt soft and new, as if it had never seen the sun or toiled over dirty dishes. If this is what it does to my hand, I couldn't wait to see what it would do to my face.
But as much as I nosed around the internet and through the materials the demonstrator gave me, I come up empty when trying to find out what exactly is in the Omega Peel, their website says that's a protected secret by its inventor Jim Larsson. But for the benefit of the readers of LA Pretty, I threw caution aside and immediately tested on my face the very next day.
Oh am I so happy I took the risk. My face is as smooth and soft as if I just came back from a professional facial. Those bumps that are always there in the crevices behind my nostrils and underneath my bottom lip? Totally gone. I'm in love with my skin, and even more in love with the fact that I didn't have to suffer for the softness.
